Returns & Exchanges

Returns and exchanges apply only to clothing purchased through the A Soft Style section of this website. All other services offered by Top Secret Stylist are non-refundable as outlined in our Consultation Policy.

A soft style Purchases Only

A Soft Style is where clothing may be purchased. The return policy below applies exclusively to those purchases.

All other pages, services, and consultations on this site are not subject to a return or exchange policy as no physical goods are sold elsewhere on the site.

Return Window

Items purchased through the Stylist Corner may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. To be eligible, items must be:

Unworn and unwashed
In original condition with all tags still attached
Free of stains, fragrance, pet hair, or any signs of wear
Accompanied by proof of purchase

How to Start a Return

To begin a return or exchange, please email asoftstyle@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving your item. Include your order number and the reason for your return. Do not send items back without contacting us first — unrequested returns cannot be processed.

Non-Returnable Items

Items marked Final Sale at time of purchase
Intimates and items where noted as non-returnable
Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
Items returned after the 14-day window

Exchanges

We are happy to exchange eligible items for a different size or color within the 14-day window, subject to availability. Please contact us before sending anything back so we can confirm the exchange and guide you through the process.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of receiving and inspecting your return. You will receive a confirmation email once your refund has been issued. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

Top Secret Stylist LLC is a personal styling consultancy based in Claremont, California, founded and operated by Mary We offer personal styling consultations and curated clothing through our Stylist Corner. Our family of brands also includes A Soft Style (new clothing at asoftstyle.com) and Thread Mix Co (vintage and sustainable fashion).

Our Services Are Consultation-Based

Top Secret Stylist is primarily a service business. We do not operate as a traditional clothing retailer. The advice, recommendations, and guidance Mary provides are based on 17 years of professional styling experience and are offered as personal professional opinion. Style is subjective — results reflect individual preferences, lifestyle, and follow-through.

No Commission Policy: Mary Frieson earns no commission on any brand, product, or item recommended during a consultation or anywhere on this website. This is a foundational principle of A Soft Style and will never change.

Stylist Corner — Clothing Sales

The Stylist Corner is the only section of this website where clothing is sold. All purchases through the Stylist Corner are subject to our Returns & Exchanges policy. All other content and services on this website do not involve the sale of physical goods.
